Alan Gray 

Alan is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Holmes, Dr. Corin Gawith and Prof. Peter Smith. Alan graduated with a BSc in Experimental Physics in 2014 from Maynooth University and an MSc in Applied Physics in 2015 from the University of Limerick. He then spent a year and a half with Intel Corporation as a CVD process engineer before joining the group in early 2017. Alan’s research interests include nonlinear optical conversion for blue/UV sources using lithium niobate and utilising nonlinear optics as a source for infra-red detection.
