Dr Bigeng Chen 

Dr. Bigeng Chen received his BEng and PhD degree in 2010 and 2016 from Zhejiang University, respectively. After graduation he started his post-doc career in School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Southampton, on the subject of hybrid plasmonic/photonic integrated circuits. In 2018 he joined Silicon Photonics Group as a research fellow working on silicon-based high speed optoelectronic modulators for near-infrared range. He has authored or co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, Nano Letters, and Optics Express. He also received the award of National Excellent Doctoral Thesis on Optics for 2016 awarded by The Chinese Optical Society.
