Dr Francesco De Lucia 

Graduated in Physics of Matter with a thesis on opto-acoustic sensors of gaseous pollutants based on QCLs, I worked as researcher at Dipartimento Interateneo di Fisica - University of Bari (Itay) in the field of optical feedback in semiconductor lasers for Mechatronics applications. Later I obtained my PhD in Optoelectronics at the University of Southampton, Zepler Institute in the group of dr. Pier Sazio working on all-fibre nonlinear photonics devices based on thermal poling technique. After my PhD I obtained the EPSRC Doctoral prize for my project related to the implementation of an integrated platform for the enhancement of the nonlinearity due to thermal poling via the exploitation of nonlinear functional materials.
