Dr Jaclyn Chan 

Dr. Jaclyn S. P. Chan received a BSc in Physics with Computer Science in 2005 and a PhD in Optoelectronics from the University of Southampton in 2012. She worked with SPI Lasers from 2012 -2013, then joined the Advanced Laser Labs (a research collaboration between the Optoelectronics Research Centre and SPI Lasers) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2013.

Research interests

Her research interests are mainly in the development of high power fibre lasers and their supporting technologies for industry - this ranges from optical fibre technology, construction and power scaling of lasers and amplifiers, laser beam shape control, novel designs of optical fibres and devices and thermal management of high power devices.
