Dr Milan Milosevic 

Dr Milan Milosevic received the Dipl. Ing. degree in optoelectronics from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and the Ph.D. degree in silicon photonics from the University of Surrey (U.K.). He is currently a Senior Research Fellow with the Optoelectronics Research Centre, where he leads research in the area of photonics for communications and sensing, and also lectures photonics modules at postgraduate level. Previously, he was an Engineer and Technology Consultant in the U.S. and Japan, and a Research Fellow with the University of Surrey, where he received the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Early Career Excellence (2012). Dr Milosevic has a track record of successful industrial collaborations (e.g. Rockley Photonics, ficonTEC, CEA LETI, IHP, Omron, Oclaro/now Lumentum) and is active in promoting his research to the public, having presented his research in the House of Commons and press articles (e.g. Laser Focus World, Phys.org). He has authored around 100 journal and conference papers and five patents, and is active reviewer for 15 photonics journals. Dr Milosevic is also a Fellow of Higher Education Academy in the U.K., and is a member of several international conference committees on photonics.
